Veneers

Dental veneers are thin, tooth-colored shells that are attached to the front surface of teeth to improve their appearance. They’re often made from porcelain or resin composite materials and are permanently bonded to your teeth.

Veneers can be used to treat several different cosmetic concerns, including chipped, broken, discolored, or smaller-than-average teeth.

Some people may only get one veneer in the case of a broken or chipped tooth, but many get between six to eight veneers in order to create an even, symmetrical smile.

Teeth Straightening Using Invisalign

A modern, fully digitized experience to help you get the smile you want, the way you want. Invisalign uses a series of aligner trays that are replaced every one to two weeks. Each replacement tray will feel slightly different, as it’s designed to continue shifting and moving your teeth.

You need to wear Invisalign trays for most of your day (20–22 hours/day) in order to see results. However, they’re easily removed for eating, brushing, flossing, or for special occasions. Though it’s a solid piece of plastic, Invisalign aligners are braces, not retainers, because they actively move your teeth to shape your mouth and jaw. Retainers just hold your teeth in place.

Professional Teeth Whitening

Teeth whitening is designed to remove both intrinsic and extrinsic stains safely when used as directed. Intrinsic tooth stains are stains caused by trauma to the tooth, or by medications, excessive fluoride use, and normal aging. Extrinsic stains are the stains caused by exposure over time to food, drink, or tobacco products.

Consultation is suggested before any teeth whitening procedures begin to ensure that there are no signs of cavities or gum disease. There are three types of treatment that our Smile Inn dentists may recommend based on your needs and wants:

  • In-office Treatment
  • At-Home Treatment
  • A mixture of both

Extractions

Extractions are the process of removing a tooth completely from its spot in the jaw bone and may be necessary to preserve or improve your dental health.

Some of the reasons for tooth extraction include:

  • Pulling teeth for braces: Preparation for orthodontia (braces and retainers) often involves pulling one tooth or a few teeth.
  • Pulling teeth to save space: Wisdom teeth are often removed if there is no space for them in the mouth, or if they become impacted or infected.
  • Pulling teeth due to damage or decay: Tooth extraction may be the only option if a tooth is too decayed or damaged to be repaired with a filling or crown.
  • Pulling teeth in radiation or chemotherapy patients: If radiation or chemotherapy to the head and neck causes teeth to become infected, pulling teeth may be necessary.
